A launch gliding up to a private dock on Lake Como. A board meeting beneath 12th-century cloisters in Florence. The Dolomites turning pink beyond a restored Art Nouveau terrace.

These are the new European hotels for meetings and incentives that will shape 2027’s most memorable programmes. Some have stood empty for years; others are brand firsts that nobody has stayed in yet. Our local teams are already in conversation with them, and the first groups through their doors will have stories no one else can tell.

Which 2027 hotels suit which type of meeting or programme?

Every group gathers for a different reason, so we’ve matched the openings to the formats they serve best. Use this as a starting point, then explore the full profiles below.

Which new hotels are opening in Italy in 2027?

From the Dolomites to the heel of the boot, Italy owns the 2027 calendar. Think alpine terraces, lakeside villas, Renaissance cloisters and Baroque ballrooms, all opening their doors to groups. For anyone building incentive travel programmes in Italy, the choice has never looked richer.

Mandarin Oriental Cristallo, Cortina: where the Dolomites blush pink

At dusk, the peaks above Cortina glow pink, a light the locals call enrosadira. Below them, the Hotel Cristallo has watched over the town since 1901, welcoming royalty, Frank Sinatra and Peter Sellers in the golden years after the 1956 Winter Olympics.

Herzog & de Meuron are restoring and extending the Art Nouveau landmark as Mandarin Oriental’s first mountain resort. Expect around 84 rooms and suites, many with balconies facing the peaks, plus restaurants, bars and a spa whose pool flows from inside to out.

Your moment: Champagne on the terrace as the last light turns the Tofane pink, the day’s final ski run still in everyone’s legs.

Best suited to: leadership retreats and corporate offsites with a view, top-achiever incentives in ski season or summer, and après-ski gala dinners.

Meeting and event space: flexible event spaces; capacities not yet announced.

From our local team: Cortina is one of our featured destinations, and our team is already talking to the hotel about 2027 group dates. We can add private dinners in mountain huts, ski guiding and summer hikes to complete the programme.

Opening: early 2027  ·  Keys: c.84  ·  Nearest airport: Venice Marco Polo, about 1.5–2 hours

Raffles Lake Como: arrive by water

Picture your group stepping off a wooden launch onto a private dock, the lake silver and still behind them. That arrival awaits at Moltrasio, on Lake Como’s quieter western shore, where the 1920s Grand Hotel Imperiale claims one of the longest hotel shorelines on the lake.

Raffles will transform the Art Nouveau villa into its first Italian hotel, with 84 rooms including 18 suites and two villas. Butler service, a beach club, a spa, indoor and outdoor pools and the signature Long Bar and Writers Bar complete the plan.

Your moment: The launch cuts its engine, the dock lanterns flicker on, and a Raffles butler greets each guest by name.

Best suited to: product launches and client events, top-achiever incentives and lakeside gala dinners.

Meeting and event space: two ballrooms and several meeting rooms, according to trade title Hospitality ON.

From our local team: We can choreograph the arrival by water, with private boat transfers to the hotel’s dock and evenings across the lake in Bellagio.

Opening: 2027  ·  Keys: 84  ·  Nearest airport: Milan Malpensa, about one hour

Rosewood Milan: a secret garden in the fashion quarter

Step off Via Montenapoleone, past the windows of the world’s great fashion houses, and into a hushed courtyard garden. Rosewood Milan unites two 19th-century buildings, Palazzo Branca and the former Banca Commerciale Italiana, at the edge of the Quadrilatero della Moda.

Paris studio Studio KO is designing 70 rooms, including around 20 suites, for owner Gruppo Statuto. A restaurant and bar open onto the courtyard and garden, and an Asaya wellness space adds an indoor pool.

Your moment: A private dinner under the courtyard trees after a day behind closed doors, the hum of Milan just beyond the walls.

Best suited to: board meetings, executive dinners and VIP client hospitality during Fashion Week or Design Week.

Meeting and event space: not yet announced; the courtyard and garden suit private receptions.

Opening: 2027  ·  Keys: 70  ·  Nearest airport: Milan Linate, about 20 minutes

Six Senses Milan: wellness above the rooftops of Brera

Begin the day with a swim in the sky pool, the rooftops and bell towers of Brera spread out below. Inside, arabescato marble, antique brass and hand-made smoked glass catch the light, while across Via Brera the Pinacoteca guards its Raphaels and Caravaggios.

Tara Bernerd & Partners have designed 68 rooms, including 15 suites, two with plunge pools. A courtyard restaurant and deli, a rooftop bar and a Six Senses Spa with a 15-metre indoor pool complete the picture.

Your moment: A sunrise swim before the day’s strategy session, as the bell towers of Brera catch the first light.

Best suited to: leadership retreats that blend strategy with wellbeing, executive offsites and intimate rooftop receptions.

Meeting and event space: a terrace suite with its own 12-metre pool can host private events; meeting rooms not yet announced.

Opening: 2027  ·  Keys: 68  ·  Nearest airport: Milan Linate, about 20 minutes

Capella Florence: eight centuries behind the convent walls

Behind the walls of Via San Gallo, cloisters that have stood since the 12th century are waking up. Over eight centuries the complex served as a convent, a conservatory, a monastery and a military hospital, a few minutes’ walk from the Duomo.

Capella’s first European hotel will offer 89 keys (33 suites and 56 rooms) plus 10 residences, with interiors by French design house Liaigre. Two restaurants, one Tuscan and one serving sushi omakase, join a rooftop bar, a wine-vault speakeasy and a 600 m² spa.

Your moment: The lights dim in the amphitheatre, and your keynote speaker steps out beneath eight centuries of Florentine history.

Best suited to: board meetings and leadership retreats with a cultural edge, keynote talks or performances, and culture-led incentives.

Meeting and event space: an indoor amphitheatre, with the rooftop bar and wine vault for receptions.

Opening: 2027  ·  Keys: 89  ·  Nearest airport: Florence, about 15 minutes

Relais San Clemente, Umbria: a convent made for quiet thinking

Century-old trees shade a chapel first consecrated in 1045, and the green hills of Umbria roll away towards Assisi. This 14th-century Benedictine convent stands just outside Perugia, beside the Tiber.

Accor’s Emblems Collection reopens the estate with 51 rooms and 10 private villas. A spa, a gym, a lagoon pool, a restaurant and a bar give it everything a private retreat needs.

Your moment: The final evening: long tables beneath the old trees, candles flickering as dusk settles over the hills.

Best suited to: exclusive-use leadership retreats, strategy offsites and summer events in the park.

Meeting and event space: event space plus parkland for outdoor functions.

Opening: 2027  ·  Keys: 51 rooms and 10 villas  ·  Nearest airport: Perugia, about 20 minutes

Palazzo Castelluccio, Noto: a Baroque palace for one group

Imagine candlelight flickering across frescoed ceilings as your group sits down to dinner in an 18th-century ballroom. Palazzo Castelluccio, completed in 1782, ranks among the grandest noble residences of Noto, the honey-stoned Baroque town rebuilt after the 1693 earthquake.

French collector Jean-Louis Remilleux restored its salons after buying the palazzo in 2011. Rocco Forte Hotels now plans a 31-suite hotel with a spa, while the ballroom, music room and chapel still speak of aristocratic Sicily.

Your moment: The ballroom doors swing open, and your top achievers step into candlelight worthy of the Grand Tour.

Best suited to: board meetings and board retreats, full buyouts for top-tier qualifiers and candlelit gala dinners.

Meeting and event space: spaces for events and meetings within the historic palazzo.

From our local team: With just 31 suites, exclusive-use dates will be scarce. Ask our team about 2027 buyout dates while the calendar is still open.

Opening: mid-2027  ·  Keys: 31 suites  ·  Nearest airport: Catania, about 1 hour 15 minutes

La Maviglia, Puglia: golf, olive groves and the sea of seven colours

Silver-green olive groves run down towards the Gulf of Taranto, where the water shifts through what locals call the “sea of seven colours”. At the heart of this 202-hectare estate in Puglia’s Primitivo wine country stands a restored 16th-century masseria.

Ultimate Collection’s resort, designed by Oppenheim Architecture, combines 70 suites, 35 villas and a 20-room golfer’s lodge. Four restaurants, an 18-hole championship course and a 5,000 m² medical wellness spa complete the offer.

Your moment: The final putt drops on the 18th green as the sun sinks over the olive groves, and dinner waits in the old masseria.

Best suited to: golf incentives, corporate wellness retreats and villa-based programmes for qualifiers and their partners.

Meeting and event space: not yet announced.

Opening: 2027  ·  Keys: 70 suites, 20 lodge rooms and 35 villas  ·  Nearest airport: Brindisi, about one hour

Sofitel Genoa Waterfront: Renzo Piano’s new seafront

Sunlight glances off new canals and a marina on Genoa’s eastern waterfront, redrawn by the city’s most famous architect, Renzo Piano. A short walk away, the painted façades of the Palazzi dei Rolli, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, line the old streets.

Designed by Renzo Piano Building Workshop with interiors by THDP, the new Sofitel will offer 120 rooms including 20 suites. An all-day restaurant, lobby lounge and pool bar sit alongside a spa, gym and pool.

Your moment: The conference wraps at four, and by sunset your team is raising a glass in the piazzetta at Portofino.

Best suited to: sales meetings and small conferences with a seaside setting, followed by Riviera excursions to Portofino and the Cinque Terre.

Meeting and event space: two meeting rooms, with the lobby lounge and pool bar for receptions.

Opening: 2027  ·  Keys: 120  ·  Nearest airport: Genoa, about 20 minutes

What new luxury hotels open in France in 2027?

France’s 2027 openings trade grand boulevards for landscapes. Riviera vineyards, a wind-swept Breton island and the misty forests of the Loire each promise privacy and a powerful sense of place.

Nolinski Golfe de Saint-Tropez: a Riviera house party

The soft thwack of padel balls drifts across the gardens, and beyond the vines the bay of Saint-Tropez glitters. Below the hilltop village of Gassin, the Mas de Chastelas, an 18th-century country house, became a hotel in 1967 and welcomed Catherine Deneuve and Serge Gainsbourg.

Evok Collection reimagines it as the first resort from its Paris-born Nolinski brand, with 55 rooms and suites, all with terraces. Two pools, a spa, tennis and padel courts, a restaurant and a bar complete the estate.

Your moment: The padel final ends in laughter, and the whole group drifts to the pool as the Riviera light turns gold.

Best suited to: small-group buyouts, relaxed leadership offsites and summer incentives with padel tournaments and beach clubs.

Meeting and event space: not yet announced; terraces and three hectares of gardens suit outdoor events.

Opening: April 2027  ·  Keys: 55  ·  Nearest airport: Toulon-Hyères, about 45 minutes; Nice, about 1.5 hours

La Citadelle Vauban, Belle-Île-en-Mer: an island fortress of your own

Grey stone ramparts rise above the harbour of Le Palais as the ferry swings in from the mainland. Belle-Île-en-Mer drew Monet with its wild Atlantic light, and its citadel, first built in 1549 and remodelled by Vauban, has guarded the port for centuries.

Accor is restoring the listed fortress as the first Emblems Collection hotel in France, with 90 keys including suites, duplexes and apartments. Two restaurants, a bar, a 2,000 m² wellness centre and a new museum sit within its walls.

Your moment: The ferry rounds the headland, and your group sees the ramparts that will be theirs for the next three days.

Best suited to: leadership seminars in a truly unusual setting, island incentives that begin with a sea crossing and private dinners within the fortress.

Meeting and event space: about 200 m² of meeting rooms.

Opening: summer 2027  ·  Keys: 90  ·  Access: ferry from Quiberon, about 45 minutes

Six Senses Loire Valley: a château in the forest

Mist lifts off the lakes of the Sologne forest to reveal a 19th-century château, its steep slate roofs and brick tower framed by ancient oaks. This is Les Bordes, the 1,400-acre former hunting estate of Bic founder Baron Marcel Bich, less than 30 km from Château de Chambord.

Six Senses centres its resort on the château, with around 50 keys across the main house and woodland lodges, a spa of some 1,700 m² and several restaurants, including a speakeasy. Two championship golf courses lie within the estate.

Your moment: The board steps out of its final session onto the lawn, and the château’s windows glow gold across the lake.

Best suited to: board retreats with private dining in the château, executive meetings and golf incentives.

Meeting and event space: a meeting and conference centre, event spaces in the château and function lawns.

Opening: late 2027  ·  Keys: c.50  ·  Access: Paris, about 90 minutes by road

Which new hotels are opening in Portugal in 2027?

Portugal pairs Atlantic light with a slower, softer kind of luxury. Its 2027 openings range from a full-service beach resort to one of the most secluded retreats on this list.

Conrad Meia Praia Algarve: the Atlantic at your feet

Terrace doors slide open, and below, golden sand curves for kilometres around the bay at Meia Praia. Along the coast near Lagos, the limestone arches of Ponta da Piedade glow amber in the evening sun.

Hilton’s new Conrad will offer 116 sea-view rooms and suites, seven with plunge pools, plus 21 branded residences. Two restaurants, a beach club, lobby and pool bars, indoor and outdoor pools and a spa make it one of the most complete group resorts on this list.

Your moment: The awards end, the music starts and the whole team spills out onto the beach club as the sun drops into the Atlantic.

Best suited to: sales kick-offs and small conferences with beach-club evenings, larger incentives and golf programmes.

Meeting and event space: a dedicated events space; capacities not yet announced.

Opening: spring 2027  ·  Keys: 116  ·  Nearest airport: Faro, about one hour

Annua Comporta: Portugal’s best-kept secret

Umbrella pines, rice paddies and empty dunes stretch to the Atlantic in Comporta, less than 90 minutes south of Lisbon. Houses sit low among the pines, and the days slow to the rhythm of the tides.

Spanish group ANNUA Signature Hotels arrives with a 26-suite hotel and a collection of private villas with their own pools, finished in sand tones, weathered wood and natural stone. Farm-to-table dining, a holistic wellness sanctuary and horse riding on the beach set the pace.

Your moment: A morning ride along an empty Atlantic beach, the big decisions of the week already behind you.

Best suited to: intimate leadership retreats, founder or board offsites and exclusive-use wellness programmes.

Meeting and event space: not yet announced; best suited to small groups across the hotel and villas.

Opening: April 2027  ·  Keys: 26 suites plus villas  ·  Nearest airport: Lisbon, about 1.5 hours

Further north, Aethos plans its first boutique hotel in Lisbon for early 2027, alongside its members’ club in the city. We’ll share details as the brand releases them.

Which cities in Central and Eastern Europe gain landmark hotels?

Central and Eastern Europe offers some of 2027’s most dramatic restorations, and few planners have discovered them yet. Imperial spa culture, Baroque palaces and Carpathian wilderness give your group stories their colleagues have never heard.

Sofitel Legend The Mozart Prague: a palace beside Charles Bridge

From its riverside windows, the Mozart looks across the Vltava to the spires of Prague Castle, with Charles Bridge a minute’s walk away. Inside the Pachta family’s Baroque palace, ceiling frescoes and a rococo courtyard recall the nights when, tradition says, Mozart and Casanova stayed here.

Accor will relaunch the palace as a Sofitel Legend after a renovation led by Prague architect Ivo Nahalka. Today it offers around 70 rooms and suites, a restaurant, a café and two historic courtyards.

Your moment: A string quartet lifts its bows in the candlelit courtyard, and a hush falls over two hundred guests.

Best suited to: client summits, gala dinners in the courtyard, whole-hotel buyouts and culture-led incentives.

Meeting and event space: two courtyards, a former theatre foyer, the restaurant and café, with events for up to 400 guests.

From our local team: We can stage a private classical concert in the courtyard, a fitting finale in a palace that carries Mozart’s name.

Opening: 2027  ·  Keys: c.70  ·  Nearest airport: Prague Václav Havel, about 30 minutes

Mandarin Oriental Gellert, Budapest: the grande dame returns

Steam rises from mosaic-lined pools beneath the glass roofs of Budapest’s most famous baths. Next door, the 1918 Hotel Gellért, an Art Nouveau landmark at the foot of Gellért Hill, has watched the Danube for more than a century.

Mandarin Oriental reopens it with 143 rooms and suites and a spa rooted in Hungary’s bathing traditions. A top-floor pool under a retractable glass roof, a rooftop bar, a Danube-view restaurant and a patisserie complete the plan.

Your moment: The glass roof slides back above the rooftop pool, and the bridges of Budapest light up across the Danube.

Best suited to: corporate wellness retreats, rooftop receptions over the Danube and city incentives that pair thermal baths with grand cafés.

Meeting and event space: not yet announced; the rooftop bar and Danube-view restaurant suit receptions.

Opening: 2027  ·  Keys: 143  ·  Nearest airport: Budapest, about 30 minutes

Hotel Palace Portorož: Adriatic grandeur reborn

Palm trees line the promenade, and the white façade of the Palace Hotel has faced the Adriatic since 1910. Portorož grew up as an Austro-Hungarian spa resort, and the Venetian-style town of Piran lies just around the headland.

Minor Hotels relaunches it under its Minor Reserve Collection with 183 keys, three restaurants, three bars, a spa, indoor and outdoor pools and beach access. That makes it the largest hotel on this list for a residential conference.

Your moment: Sessions end, boats wait at the pier, and minutes later your team is wandering the marble square of Piran.

Best suited to: sales conferences and association meetings with a coastal incentive element, and board meetings by the sea.

Meeting and event space: a dedicated meetings and events area.

From our local team: Our team can extend a Portorož programme into Piran, the Karst wine region and Trieste, all within easy reach.

Opening: Q1 2027  ·  Keys: 183 ·  Nearest airport: Trieste, about one hour

Radisson Blu Grand Mountain Resort, Brașov: Transylvania’s wild side

Timber-and-glass chalets sit at the edge of an ancient forest, with Carpathian peaks rising behind them. From this meadow near Cristian, medieval Brașov, Râșnov Citadel and Bran Castle are all close by, and the Libearty Bear Sanctuary lies about 10 km away.

Radisson brings Romania’s first five-star mountain villa resort, with 46 Scandinavian-style chalets and 20 hotel rooms. A restaurant with a mountain terrace, a bar and cigar lounge and a wellness centre serve groups.

Your moment: Woodsmoke, a crackling fire in your team’s private chalet and the Carpathians turning blue as night falls.

Best suited to: team retreats in private chalets, adventure incentives and winter programmes near the slopes of Poiana Brașov.

Meeting and event space: a conference room with audiovisual equipment.

Opening: early 2027  ·  Keys: 46 chalets and 20 rooms  ·  Nearest airport: Brașov-Ghimbav, about 20 minutes

Nearby, Kempinski has announced a 120-room lakeside resort in Poiana Brașov with three restaurants and a conference centre, though it has not yet confirmed an opening date.

What could your 2027 look like?

Every great programme starts with a picture. Here are three we can already see.

A leadership retreat in Umbria, May. Twelve leaders arrive at Relais San Clemente as the afternoon light softens over the hills. Mornings bring strategy sessions in the old convent, and afternoons bring the spa or a slow walk through Assisi.

A client summit in Prague, October. Sixty guests gather in the former theatre foyer at Sofitel Legend The Mozart for a morning of talks. That evening, a string quartet plays in the candlelit Baroque courtyard as dinner begins.

A sales kick-off by the Adriatic, September. One hundred and forty sales leaders meet at Hotel Palace Portorož, and each afternoon boats carry teams along the coast to Piran. The awards dinner ends on the terrace, the sea turning silver below.

Hotels open only once, and the first groups through the door will remember it for years. Our local teams are already speaking with these hotels about 2027 dates, first-season availability and exclusive-use terms. Share your brief with us, and we’ll help you secure your place among them.
